The Office of Student Affairs is responsible for supervising and coordinating tasks related to the keeping of student documentation related to the course of studies, supporting the actions of other units of the University of Opole in the field of student affairs, in particular related to: the organisation of student internships, material support benefits, support for students with disabilities and those requiring psychological and therapeutic support.

Our main tasks

  The tasks of the scholarship assistance benefits team include in particular: analysing the documents necessary to determine the amount of income in the student’s family, which is the basis for calculating the amount of benefits, and verifying the amount of benefits calculated in the system based on the applicable legislation; analysing documents necessary for the allocation of scholarships, allowances, prizes and other types of material support for students; drafting decisions on benefits in accordance with the applicable legislation; preparing payment lists of social grants, rector’s grants, disability grants, aid payments, rector’s awards for students, Minister’s scholarships for students and young scientists; keeping records of the benefits awarded; uploading and analysing data on scholarships in POLON; co-operating in the preparation of the rules and regulations of the Rector’s regulations related to financial aid for students; cooperating with the University Scholarship Committee in granting material support benefits.   The tasks of the student internship team include in particular: coordinating the organisation and conduct of student internships, in cooperation with deans, faculty coordinators and internship coordinators; Preparing documentation related to the organisation and completion of student internships, in cooperation with deans, faculty coordinators and internship coordinators; Verifying documents related to internships provided by students; participating in the drafting of agreements with units accepting students for internships; Drawing up referrals, agreements between units accepting students for individual internships and the university; Monitoring the organisation of student internships; keeping a register of agreements; preparing, clearing financial documentation and forwarding the required documents to the Accounting Office and the Payroll Office; drawing up protocols for the inspection of the organisation of student internships and other required reports, reports and plans; handling matters related to the national exchange of students under the Student Mobility Programme ‘MOST’.   The tasks of the team for services to students with disabilities include in particular: implementing and monitoring projects aimed at obtaining funds to adapt the educational process to the needs of students and doctoral students with disabilities; coordinating and taking action to create conditions for full participation of persons with disabilities in the academic life of the University of Opole; managing the funds of FWON and other institutions, recording financed expenditures; ensuring the correctness and compliance with formal and legal requirements of proceedings related to the application of alternative solutions for students with disabilities at the University of Opole; keeping records related to support for students and doctoral students with disabilities offered at the University; providing substantive support to the University’s units on accessibility for persons with disabilities; managing the affairs of students and doctoral students with disabilities supporting the educational process; preparing the required reports, reports and plans.   The tasks of the Psychological and Therapeutic Support Centre, in particular, include: providing free of charge services within psychological and therapeutic support for students, doctoral students and other participants of other forms of education, as well as employees of the University of Opole; support for people in mental crisis; conducting development groups; organising and conducting psycho-educational workshops; coordinating and undertaking active actions in the field of adaptation and inclusion of persons at risk of social exclusion into the University of Opole academic community; keeping records of the actions of the Psychological and Therapeutic Support Centre; drawing up the required reports, reports and plans.
